Motivating Student thru games


 
Part II. Developed Games by Vivian R. Gayudan

Telepathy.  Students are ask to write words ( you can use body parts of an animal or plants )using vocabularies from their lesson.
Each students will keep their written words a secret. 
The teacher can control by writing his/her word. Then, reveal the answer.
Students with the same answer from that of the teacher won the game. or with many number of the same words will earn points
     A. Student  =   cat, dog, zebra, snake, rabbit   B Student = dog, elephant, cat, bird, chicken
                                                   cat and dog  A and B students have the same
Note: Give any points like 2 points....

b.Hunting Words.

  Students will hunt words through saying words . Except his/her  written words. If the student were able to guess the word/s then cancel the word. Those with many words still remaining won the game.
 .....Same with telepathy game but it is just the opposite. same answer will be cancelled and the remaining will be the number of points.

Phonics class: locate the words in alphabetical order; Readers: locating the names of pictures



 

Parts of Speech: Verbs, Adjectives, Nouns, Preposition

Divide the class into two. Give your prepared



laminated words in each team.
Let your students classify the word/s if they verbs, adjectives etc.  (Time limit)
 

Food Bingo.

     Ask your students to bring any food they want. Then distribute the food equally. Fill up the box with different food. Just like the normal bingo. State the name of the food. Use expressions like
"I want to eat _________, I prefer to eat the __________, I'd like to eat ____________.
